The scrum moves off the half way line by about a metre before the ball comes in. In my opinion the referee should have penalised ‘blue’ for an early shove. Instead the blue scrum half moves into the ‘red’ half to throw the ball in.
The scrum remains static and blue work the ball back to their No8 and the scrum half picks up.
By not penalising the first obvious offence the referee may have confused himself. Or perhaps he has a gap in his knowledge?

No it was clear and obvious. The blue scrum half was a metre inside the red half. I must admit that the feed did look straighter than most I see!
I could go into a lot more detail but the referee was rather too casual for my liking in setting up the scrum. He didn’t even mark the centre for the scrum (which obviously be on the half way line) for the hookers to get their brake foot in place. The blue team were already slightly in front of the half way line when ‘set’ was called and before the early shove.

Anyway notwithstanding the "issues" you raise with the scrum is the 50:22 applicable in this case?

Form my POV and watching the video again. The scrum is not a metre into the green half. The blue LH outside foot is about 0.5 m in his own half. The scrum is slighly turned anticlockwise accentuating the LH foot position relative to the HW line.

It's a AGP pitch with a marked dash at centre point of half-way so there's no need for the referee to make a mark for the scrum.

You've said yourself later that blue are slightly in front of half way which is true. It can't be slightly and a metre. It's only the halfway line that makes any movement/rotation apparent and anywhere else on the pitch it's not an issue. If we're going for clear and obvious this isn't it.
