I'd have the medics on if he fainted. This was from a game I was watching today, Black vs Blue. 5m PK. Black fainted at the tap, some Blue players jumped a bit, then while they retreated, Black tapped and ran in for the score while they were moving back to the goal line.
Blue captain asked about it and the referee said it was fine and he didn't have a problem with it.

Indeed. (Turns out my phone autocorrects feinting to fainting)I'd have the medics on if he fainted.
I'd have had a quiet word if he feinted
which one? This was a TV match with professional and international players, so harder to have a quiet word.

for those outside of that region here is a look at it being "a smart play", but maybe not intentional. All Blacks vs Bulls

Oh dear!All Blacks vs Bulls

If you're saying "don't do that again" I don't think you can reasonably allow what happened after teh thing that they weren't supposed to do."Would you award the try, then say 'don't do that again'."
If I was the oppo captain & I heard the ref say that, I would not be happy
