Where are you this weekend? 2014/15

Hi Simon - B52 isn't allowed anywhere near the "inner sanctum"

England v Ireland: Amy Perrett (Australia). ARs: Nicky Inwood (NZ) and Alex Pratt (Scot)
France v Canada: Helen O'Reilley (IRE). ARs: Nicky Inwood (NZ) and Moi.

Doing two AR appointments in a day, including back-to-backs, has been done all tourno.

Au revior!

Say hi to b52 for me. Wise to keep him from the inner sanctum - his best work is done in the social areas!

Don't understand that comment either,
No I am not a relation of the photographer but have got to know him over the years, I'll ask him to take your good side.
PS a nice rail journey up the cumbrian coat if you plan it

Society AGM

I'm going to ask the audience about the conversion law clarification, just to see who's on their toes

There's only 9 games on this weekend in Warwickshire, so I'm off to Stratford for Tappas and some culture from The Bard.

I have Bury St Edmonds firsts against a Dutch team. Anybody au fait with the suffolkers?

BSM are an ambitious club who have climbed the Leagues season after season and did well last season in National 3 London & South East.

Great club, decent players, decent supporters, informed blazers - pretty decent all round.

With a full 1st XV they should murder any Dutch club side, as their Premiership is L 6 at best.

Very pleased last night to get confirmation of my game and KO on the 30th of August!

Cambridge Dev v Luton

Nice game to start the season on.

London appointments on hold until tomorrow's fitness test results are known..

Hampshire's Society YoYo fitness tests done last night managed by KML1. 36 referees participated, including three new post ELRAs and two new Young Officials (17 and 16 years old).

Panel and Group guys had already passed their tests, so good to see our two Southern Federation referees were going well at 17.2 and 16.8 and a new member (triathlete) was on his way to 20 when KML1 stopped the tests as we wanted to start the indoor part of the meeting !

Most members were fine at levels 14-15 and with only a very few exceptions fitness levels are good and better than previous seasons. Big round of applause to all the guys.

Good discussion session on the management of the breakdown for the dozen or so assembled Society Referee Coaches and Match Observers whilst the referees ran around.

I've got Farnham Royal vs Thatcham in a friendly. Always enjoy going to Farnham, its a rugby club in the traditional way, small, just rugby and passionate. In my first match there I had to persuade the home crowd to be quiet while the away team were making lineout calls.

Doncaster v a Newcastle Falcons XV this Saturday for me. Will be interesting to see what sort of side Newcastle put out given that they're playing Rotherham at home at the same time! A good test of squad depth if nothing else....
