[Law] Re: 20.10 behind the kicker at a PK

but why even mention an objection?

    Surely, this would suffice:

If the referee becomes aware that a team has too many players, the referee orders the captain of that team to reduce the number...

[Law] Re: 20.10 behind the kicker at a PK

lots of oddities. This one from Law 3:

A team may make an objection to the referee about the number of players in their opponents’ team. If a team has too many players, the referee orders the...

    Re: Penalty Try

there would need to be a new signal for a PT for that to work unambiguously. Ref sticks arm in air 5 metres in from touch and 5 metres out from goal line ... is he/she signaling time off, a penalty,...

it's out of camera angle but I suspect white #10 may have come up early too prompting the defenders to do likewise

WADR I'd suggest this is not rugby's biggest issue. PTs are quite infrequent

fair enough for showbiz rugby with TMOs, citing chappies and the like. In the weeds, best do as others have suggested IMO

    [Law] Re: England v France - 24/4/2921

wow. That's why I asked the question. We've just been given the 2020 law book (which I was looking at) and already it's out of date. :holysheep:

I've had 2 instances already this season where ball...
  14. [Law] Re: When and why the intentional knock-on rule was added to the rugby laws?

Absolutely. And it would make little sense to change laws cos one community level ref got it wrong.

  19. [Law] Re: When and why the intentional knock-on rule was added to the rugby laws?

OK. SH passes the ball to #10 at an angle of 45 degrees. It's not a great pass and the best the #10 can do is get a finger tip to the ball such that the ball is deflected as shown in this diagram....
  20. [Law] Re: When and why the intentional knock-on rule was added to the rugby laws?

Interesting. Does it need to? Or does changing the flight of the ball so that it is going "more forwards" meet requirements?

    Definition here for reference:

    Knock-on: When a player loses...

[Kit] Re: Ref's shorts with back pocket?

I've never seen ref shorts with a back pocket noting that that doesn't mean that they don't exist.
  22. [Law] Re: When and why the intentional knock-on rule was added to the rugby laws?

card & PT OK for me. Blue #15 was never in a position to realistically catch the ball and just stuck out his hand.
