  1. Re: our ability to focus on anything except rugby knows no bounds ...

You have some kind of inside track to the squad and Dave rennie's mind?

There's a bunch of noise from people outside the camp; for all we know, the players could be hyper focussed and ignoring...

Not entirely sure what point you're making, or any objection you might have.

Re: Pro Womens - Covid laws

The one doesn't lead to the other.

Knock on? Instead of forgiving them, give the opposition a free tap.

See? Fundamentals unchanged AND the community gets a game!

Re: Pro Womens - Covid laws

Let's say we let that go.
Passes that go forward when not near the opposition - we let that go as well?

Not propelling the ball forward with your hands or arms is one of the fundamentals of the...
  6. Re: Thank God! At last Nigel Owens enforces (Caterpillar) Law - Use it

I think it's a blight on the game, and is one of the reasons I prefer NRL to most of the Union currently available on TV. If a scrum half can't get a box kick away from the back of the ruck without...
  7. Re: Does anyone think the 20/21 season will start?

Some, individually, will refuse to referee because of CoVid.
Referee Societies have been asked to not register....it's a long story about USA R governance and restructure that's long and boring.
  8. Re: Does anyone think the 20/21 season will start?

Here in the USA< where the situation is worse than the UK, various States are getting ready to play.

The referees, on the other hand, are getting ready to strike.

[Law] Re: Why isn't this pre binding penalised ?

If this were a standardized test for verbal reasoning, I would argue that the "usually" applies to the clause regarding proximity to the goal line, and not to the PK. If you lift out everything...

Re: How Long will He Likely be Banned for?

The written decision will be upp soonish.

It will be interesting to see if he got anything added for the need to eradicate a particular offence from the game.

Re: How Long will He Likely be Banned for?

6 weeks? Assuming that he gets some kind of dis punt for remorse, pleading guilty and not eating the biscuits, you have a starting point of 9 to 10 weeks, which strikes me as a lot.

    As much I...

    Re: the Chiefs

Quite how the Mayor is involved in enforcing a policy internal to the KC Chiefs is not quite clear.
But you know that. You're just being your usual trolling self.

Re: Super Rugby AU: Force v Waratahs

If there are two sides of history in rugby, you be guaranteed that Barnes will pick the wrong one.

I blame the descent into hysterical mediocrity of so much of today's rugby commentators on him....

Re: Super Rugby AU: Force v Waratahs

    Valid points.
But especially in the first couple of rounds, as players and referees adjusted to new...emphases in law application, it stood out to me.

Re: Super Rugby AU: Force v Waratahs

One thing that has struck me from the AU and NZ matches is the lack of preventive calling from the referees.

    Get it wrong? Ping.
I'm not sure if I like it or not.

One might ask how the thread itself is of use to improving referees, our mission.

Perhaps the OP could do some self reflection as to the value this thread actually adds?

  25. [QUESTION] Re: How do I "ignore" a thread so it doesnt even show in a forum list of threads?

    Uh, no.

When I log on, I go to "What's New", then "New Posts"
My view then is by thread, not by post. That way I just select the threads I want to read.
