Re: That's done it for me. Goodbye rugby I'm out

the concept of C & O is not restricted to the one referee/one view scenario. It applies equally to multiple camera angles - possibly even more so. If, after looking at all angles in super-slomo, you...

Blue #8 braced for impact. I would not consider that as a "change of height" mitigating aspect

Re: That's done it for me. Goodbye rugby I'm out

strikes me as a pretty flawed process.

4 match officials say one thing and a judiciary dude overrules them and thrown them under the bus. I wonder if the ref now has right of appeal?

    Or maybe...

    Re: These goal line dropouts

The thing that links A, B & C is that they are all non-foul play stoppages that occur in goal but not over DBL/TiG. I guess that is the logic.

The break to that logic is a knock-on in-goal by a...

    [In-goal] Re: Reaching Out

I'd need a clearer understanding of what "while being tackled" means. But I agree with Marc's comments.

    Re: These goal line dropouts

they see 5 metre scrums as a bit of a shit-fest and a slow way of restarting game. GL drop out overcomes that.

    Re: Global Law Trials

not sure what law Lords said and in what context but thepercy's comment makes sense. Otherwise a ball carrier and latched team mate could never be tackled without collapsing a maul

maybe the ref could run away from the play and under the posts? Just a thought :horse:

I'd be OK with the wrap. I'd have to see the 'extended their leg' incident. Was it like a judo throw?

there's not much to comment on, is there? An elite referee says "you get labelled for your accuracy and inaccuracy, and for your performance." Yawn

    Re: Protocol awarding PT

Seriously? That's like saying the ref shouldn't stand at the back of the lineout cos the thrower might try to hit the ref with the ball

    Re: Protocol awarding PT

even without ARs ... look at the feet and listen for the boot on ball.

We're OK managing 2 sets of backs at lineouts and we don't have a painted line to help us.

I (and probably all of us) clearly understand your point. I'm not too fussed either way ... it's a nice bit of theatre and is traditional.

    Re: Upcoming law changes
