  1. Re: Wal v Aus: Coach Verbally Attacks Officials

I'm sorry. I had both links open and read the wrong one.

Howerver, The crass error Nigel makes in terms of the header makes one wonder if he needs think be for expressing his opinions and a WRU...
  2. Re: Wal v Aus: Coach Verbally Attacks Officials

That is pretty categoric. Also, elsewhere, he is reported to have said it was an act contrary to good sportsmanship.

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

DO we need to reduce this to one sylable words?

You refree with empathy at every level of the game. Are your trying to be awkward. You do so within the framework of the laws.

    But there are...
  5. [7's/10's] Re: What is the definition of the playing a ball in the scrum?

The 8 only has to bind with one arm. Law 19.7.d. So, how is he not bound?

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

Not at all. There is no inconsistency. I told you (agreeing with Flish) what he RFU position was. I would referee in Wales according to Welsh regs.

You see to have dificulty in understanding that...

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

That was how it was explained to us. Very odd but there is a reason behind the RFU thinking. Fair play to them

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

That is why I said "I think people need to "CONSIDER" the age of the players. I think you can rarely make sweeping catch all judgements that fid every situation. Clearly the RFU wants referees to let...

    Agree totally.
  12. [Law] Re: Law Change Proposal - Scrum or FK option after Knock-on

Leave the scrum alone just referee it properly.
  13. Sticky: Re: POTENTIAL SPONSORSHIP - Referee Watch - Great bit of kit

I used the watch though October until I was injured and it got easier and easier to use especially the penalty counter. The report is hand too I also use the advior app on my tablet to do my club's...

[Scrum] Re: Off side how far

My thought is: Why do you think it is in your power to decide that you'll apply a law at one game but not another when the law is applicable to both?
  15. Re: Wal v Aus: Coach Verbally Attacks Officials

    spot on!
  16. Re: Wal v Aus: Coach Verbally Attacks Officials

I really can't see why, as a referee, someone would prefer a wrong call that keeps everyone happy rather than a correct call.

Obviously, out in the sticks we would problably call it as forward and...

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

I think people need to consider the age of the players. Th OP did not reference age so if we assume we are talking about adults I would say you go straight to the sanction. With kids the RFU has...

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

Twisting the scenario to suit. It's clear that scenario in brackets is far from taking the restart illegally as we are all discussing.

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

The ruling that restarts had to be taken properly was made in 2010 so was it more like 10 or so year than " 5 or so"?. It is relvant to things.

[Law] Re: Incorrectly taken free kick

So you'd probably let them win by default? Okay, "sounds" equitable. What about the instuction at restarts etc that he ball must return into play? Do you not think logic requires that here also?

Re: England vs Australia - Last Try

Technically you are offside after you pass the ball (as soon as he catches the ball you are infront of the ball carrier). Common sense says you are not penalised, come on, if you were the game could...
