  1. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

"accidental" is still not a word in the protocol, and was repeated as an explanantion by the ref (alebit accpeting this isnt her first language).

I thought the ref had a good game overall. But...

Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

so they coud get to a situation then that sides get relegated and do NOT sell their shares and the premiership ends up with twelve/fourteen/however many teams that hold no shares while many clubs...
  3. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

And while we may have queries over the panel's view of changing direction etc the bigger query is surely how the ref and in particular TMO got that so wrong - TMO particularly as the ref didnt have a...
  4. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

agree with the recent comments (#43 onwards).

How frankly that isnt a RC is beyond me. But then I don;t sit on a 6N discisplinary panel. I thouroughly agree with Dickie - that wasnt a change of...

Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

so who has the 13th share? EPL themselves as a ltd company or similar?
  6. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

well... I would respectfully suggest that we are now entering a subjective area whereby potentially the only likely real impact of stopping head collisions howsoever happening will be made at the...
  7. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

there may be nunaces that you are aware of that I'm not, but I'm not seeing a low degree of danger here. its a direct head clash. what higher danger can there be ? (including to the tackler...
  8. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

Im presuming this info is not publically available?
  9. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

    Thanks Dickie.

So - that deosnt describe what happened in Ita v Eng then?

So foul play has occurred. and a card of some colour at least and using the Glos example more than likely a RC. And...
  10. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

    10th April - last weekend.
  11. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

its accidental in the same vein that the Italian tackle was deemed accidental by the TMO, and agreed with by the ref.

Its not accidental that the tackler's tackle position was high.

    so what...
  12. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

So after all the above Im still no clearer as to this new framework - namely whether it was in operation, and what the outcome of that framework would/should have been. Especially in the light of...
  13. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

yes. But as i said "Of the RCs Ive seen this season none of them I'd say were a deliberate targetting of the head.".

Ive seen no liverpool kisses. Ive seen no tackles aimed at thighs that the...
  14. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

well the ref went back to the scrum fro Italy for an England forward pass that occurred after the collision, so it wasnt even deemed worthy of a PK.
  15. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

indeed. there isn't much probably in an U14s match either - but I can't believe head clashes from avoidable upright tackles are just ignored because "he didnt hit him VERY hard" ?

    As for " I...
  16. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

“He’s always high. He’s got clear line of sight to run into the tackle, and he makes direct head contact with the Wasps player… No attempt to dip. I don’t think there’s any way we can mitigate that....
  17. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

So if there's no foul play aka accidental and the ball carrier ends up with severe concussion, a brain haemorrage and a career ending scenario ... it IS just a rugby incident ? That could have been...
  18. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

I suppose it depends when the new flowchart appeared/came online?

I do recall you chaps discussing it now.

Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

Is that just indicative possibly of the "big money" ( to bankroll a club ) being centred in the SE/London environs?

    [Law] Re: Neverending rugby?

Yiou'd hope so... but whilst appreicating this isnt about foul play, I refer the honourable gentleman to the French action with the clock red in the last round of the men's 6N.
  23. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

well iw as - and i meant to raise this before but I forgot to and now i cant recall which game it was.
  24. [Tackle] Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

In one of the women's 6N games alst weekend (I _think_ it was Ireland v Wales ) there was a head clash incident reviewed by TMO.

I unfortunately cannot find it on any video available online - if...
