[Tackle] Re: two matches five reds!

Maybe I'm not understanding your question....but it's probably to do with the preferred outcomes at different levels. The Minis etc probably only want to, or are required to, make the tackle ie...

[Law] Re: Jumping or Diving Clarification required

    Really?
So you propose refereeing the game differently depending on how close the play is to the goal line!
I know this has been discussed previously but for me a tackle 20m out is the same as a...

[QUOTE=didds;372773]And the FK gets taken as a scrum and we are bacvk to square one. Unless of course eventually becasue it happens to often you end up with a PK for deleiberate law breaking....

Why guess.....just show the clip and it will probably be obvious.
General consensus here would seem to be that a still image isn't very helpful!

[Law] Re: Farrell Late Hit v Italy

Well I once had a scenario at a ruck where a Red player lifted an opposing Blue players leg slightly off the ground.
The Blue player jumped to try and free himself and ended up flipping himself...

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

This 'one arm' signal is/should be a lot different to the advantage signal.

[Law] Re: Superbowl - advantage question.

As referees we are regularly challenged by scenarios that have no black and white definitive answer.
We must in the moment, usually without the chance to consult or consider at length, make a...

[Law] Re: Superbowl - advantage question.

If the referee can facilitate the request in this scenario then surely they can facilitate in any scenario ie a simple request.

Personally I think I would facilitate and go back similar to options...

[Law] Re: Superbowl - advantage question.

The scenario I believe would be...

Referee calls advantage Red....Red 10 has a drop at goal and scores..
Red Captain then asks Ref to go back for the penalty advantage as they need to score a...

    [Law] Re: Gloucester vs Saints

Ref was a little too quick following the ball....ball in air nothing happening so delay briefly to watch for late hits etc.
That would be my advice to grass roots refs.
    Obviously in this case the...

Re: Barnes - "It's in the tackle zone"

    Didnít see it....
Was he penalised for diving on a ball emerging from a ruck?
Did he dive from an onside position?

    I'm in a similar situation.

    -1.....

    Is minus 1 a thing?

    I've seen +1 used!

Edit....Just for arguments sake, pivoting around a stationarity point is going to get a call of 'use it'!

[Maul] Re: Maul - Driving or Rolling

It's kind of the same thing but....

If as you say "ball carrier and friends" break off then they cannot set up a new maul ( assuming ball is at back) or that would be obstruction.
    The reason...
