  1. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

Why? They should be communicating in the best languague for them to gt it right!
  2. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

It is not a "flaw in the laws". To kick the ball it has to be dropped therefore it is obvious that you must be able to drop the ball in order to kick (punt or drop kick) the ball. Therefore, since...
  3. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

And the ref has, according to Jutge admitted he was wrong. for both try 1 and try 2.
  4. [Law] Re: Reviewing the Video with the TMO and other officials.

    Of course:

Bigger would not have been allowed to catch them out has the referee not blundered. The buck stops there.
  5. [Law] Re: Reviewing the Video with the TMO and other officials.

Once you tell a captain to call his team together and "have a word" you are obliged to allow them to return to their field position. EQUITY (trumps law every time!). BEFORE you put time back on you...
  6. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

    Referee Frenchman Pascal Gauzčre FRANCE

ARS Andrew Brace & Frank Murphy Ireland

    TMO Alex Ruiz FRANCE

Why would the Referee and the TMO have "language issues"?
  7. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

  8. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

Totally agree He could have managed it better.
  9. [Law] Re: Discussion with other sports re officiating/laws

Football adds time on, rugby stops the clock.
  10. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

If he felt England were delaying he could have told the mto get a move on and eventually card Farrell. He just had a horrible brainfart that was ugly.
  11. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

True we don't know what would have happened. However we do know that a side behind the game has a different mindset to one that is not. THe scores DID effect what followed. They were material to the...
  12. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

    Throw forward! Deliberate PK!
  13. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

No oneis arguing with the rub of the green going different ways at different times. But here, surey, it should be about was the call right or wrong. Simply one was a wrong call and the other was poor...
  14. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

Bigger only kicked across BECAUSE England were not in position.

But he did not do that. He lost the ball forward and before he could regather it hit his leg and at no time in any of this did...
  15. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

The thing is with 20 to go it was 24 all, take those two tries away and it is 10-24. Totally diferent ball game. They were critical errors for me.

But yes playing what was in front of them...
  16. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

I thought the two calls were shocking and 14 points that should not have been. That said was it last year or the year before welsh had to the ball first and official go for an England grounding. So,...

Re: Legality of the ankle tap

The Oxford Dictionary include the following in the definitions:

An act of falling or nearly falling down, because you hit your foot against something"

So a hand can cause the trip. But we...

[Tackle] Re: two matches five reds!

Even if the team ends up with players off the field? That seems poor coaching to me. If your defensive system / plan is illegal you need to work out a new one.

[Law] Re: Superbowl - advantage question.

Not for me, in terms of the score. He made a choice to go for the draw not the win. His call not mine. A card could well be on the way though.
