Re: Covid Law Variations for England

    Yeah.

But Bert the secocnd row doesn't think "oh, what law is that under?" when he is considering latching or not. Or watching his opposite number doing it.

And lets face it - we see...

Re: Covid Law Variations for England

its the PS that is what I was getting at.

    The law simply says

"Players must not bind onto a team-mate who is in possession of the ball. Sanction: Penalty kick."

but in a latch, a player is...

    Re: Championship - no citing?

at best there is a vague wrap. But that's no "help" here. Head connection with force, tackler remains upright, no mitigation.

    RC.

I cant comment about whether the chammpionship has different...

OK. so accepting these are interim and temporary laws to aloow games to happen, to be clear when the law now requires

Re: Covid Law Variations for England

Law 16: The Maul is suspended in its entirety
Players must not bind onto a team-mate who is in possession of the ball. Sanction: Penalty kick.

so in reality when a team A player has the ball and...

    yep. agree. But

i merely provided another reason to do so. Yes, reliant on not getting caught.

Except to win a penalty of course if this is clear how its to be blown.
  10. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

"accidental" is still not a word in the protocol, and was repeated as an explanantion by the ref (alebit accpeting this isnt her first language).

I thought the ref had a good game overall. But...

Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

so they coud get to a situation then that sides get relegated and do NOT sell their shares and the premiership ends up with twelve/fourteen/however many teams that hold no shares while many clubs...
  12. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

And while we may have queries over the panel's view of changing direction etc the bigger query is surely how the ref and in particular TMO got that so wrong - TMO particularly as the ref didnt have a...
  13. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

agree with the recent comments (#43 onwards).

How frankly that isnt a RC is beyond me. But then I don;t sit on a 6N discisplinary panel. I thouroughly agree with Dickie - that wasnt a change of...

Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

so who has the 13th share? EPL themselves as a ltd company or similar?
  15. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

well... I would respectfully suggest that we are now entering a subjective area whereby potentially the only likely real impact of stopping head collisions howsoever happening will be made at the...
  16. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

there may be nunaces that you are aware of that I'm not, but I'm not seeing a low degree of danger here. its a direct head clash. what higher danger can there be ? (including to the tackler...

  18. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

    Thanks Dickie.

So - that deosnt describe what happened in Ita v Eng then?

So foul play has occurred. and a card of some colour at least and using the Glos example more than likely a RC. And...

  20. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

its accidental in the same vein that the Italian tackle was deemed accidental by the TMO, and agreed with by the ref.

Its not accidental that the tackler's tackle position was high.

    so what...
  21. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

So after all the above Im still no clearer as to this new framework - namely whether it was in operation, and what the outcome of that framework would/should have been. Especially in the light of...
  22. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

yes. But as i said "Of the RCs Ive seen this season none of them I'd say were a deliberate targetting of the head.".

Ive seen no liverpool kisses. Ive seen no tackles aimed at thighs that the...
  23. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

well the ref went back to the scrum fro Italy for an England forward pass that occurred after the collision, so it wasnt even deemed worthy of a PK.
  24. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

indeed. there isn't much probably in an U14s match either - but I can't believe head clashes from avoidable upright tackles are just ignored because "he didnt hit him VERY hard" ?

    As for " I...
  25. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N
