  1. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

Having viewed past the few seconds that the TMO appeared to have been assessing I believe that the head to head was an accidental collision but in my opinion it should have been a penalty for the...
  2. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

For me it's an accidental rugby collision.
I don't agree that it should have been a red card.

[Law] Re: Contact with the head

Maybe not a nuance...but put a ball in a players hands and they can 'legally' target an opposing players head with a shoulder! !

    Re: France v Scotland

If you need a line on the pitch for this then you shouldn't be refereeing! !

And PTs are to ensure foul play doesn't stop a score, which it didn't.[/QUOTE]

Or a 'score' in a more advantageous position!

Link to video please so we can comment on this specific incident.

However before penalising players for (presumably accidental ) head contact with their own team mates how about making...

I know this has been 'done to death ' but can you expand on your comments?

"...no explanation as to what that is." ...what do you mean?

[6N] Re: Rolling on the ground - Owen Farrell

I thought it was a bit harsh in the context of what is being allowed.
However it is supposedly one of the focus points this season.

    Re: England v France

Rather than asking " is the referee allowed to change a decision in this way" try asking 'why not'!
The referee is acknowledged as being the sole judge of fact! Surely that is enough!

    Re: England v France

I don't think judging it based on distance is appropriate.
I think the context is more relevant.

    Re: England v France

For me it's not clear that he tapped it over a defender and therefore I'm happy to say he was legal.
If it's shown that he did in fact tap it over the defender and gain an advantage by doing so then...

    Re: Leinster v Glasgow

Apologies but my original post did not post as I had intended/written!!

I have no issue whatsoever with the card.

I was considering whether if the Blue player had made contact/tackled the...
  14. Re: That ball is apparently still in the ruck.

Bottom line as I see it is World Rugby don't want competition for the ball in that scenario. Get the ball away from the breakdown and get on with it. Have to say I agree to some extent as things...

[Law] Re: Player on ground catching the ball

    I disagree with your argument.

For me it is not just a case of, for instance, an accidental offside where a player cannot avoid touching /playing a ball, but rather, as has previously been...

    Yes and yes.
The lineout MUST be taken if the ball is kicked directly to touch.

    No disrespect intended to Treadmore.

  23. Re: Wales vs Eng - Knock on and Time back on after asking captain to speak to players

    Again not necessarily!

If the last action of a players hand, after 'juggling', is to slap/bat the ball backwards then that is considered a knock on even though the ball didn't go forward and the...

  25. [Law] Re: What can you do with the ball after the mark?
