    Re: France 2023

It is some years since I handled international tickets for my club, but back then we always had a small allocation of away tickets.

Feet on the ground cannot be a requirement, since running necessarily involves having both feet off the ground.

How effective is charging anyway? Does it really affect a kicker's concentration?

You only really notice it when the kicker does not realise he is judged to have started his approach and gets...

    Re: thoughts on this one

The earliest form of conversion involved a complicated application of the Free Kick procedure, but that was simplified in 1883. Thereafter there was a placer and a kicker. Some older readers (such...

It reinforces my point. Jordie was saving himself at someone else's expense. That may be "instinctive", but he created the situation and is therefore responsible for it. Players should be...

Thinking further about this comment from the judicial review, it says that he is entitled to act dangerously/riskily in order to help himself.

Surely he should be trying to avoid hurting others? ...

When Jordie took off, he drove up with his knee as most people do, but when he caught the ball he was definitely NOT in a tucked position.

    The judicial review said

You slow down rotation by going from a tucked to a straight position.

When he catches the ball, Jodie is almost in a straight position except for his knees being bent back.

    Raising a leg is...

Ian - going from your third frame to your last, Jordie goes from nearly straight, but with knees bent back to a position with one leg moving to a more tucked position. That is the opposite of what is...

Re: Bledisloe 3 - the sacrifice of the...

A diver/trampolinist/gymnast tucks for fast rotation and straightens out to slow it down. Jordie is never in a tucked position. In straightening out you need to use both legs, not just one.

    If...

    Re: Blocker at a Ruck

    Yes.

An earlier version said the player must not "move or stand" in the way. At one time teams tried to place a couple of players in front of the one going to catch the kick. That was stopped.

The mere fact if being kicked in the face is not in itself proof of foul play. Surely we have all seen a player get such a kick when trying to tackle an opponent from behind.

Yes. He got his jump wrong and in trying to correct he kicked an opponent. It was Jordie's own fault.
