Re: Where are you this weekend 20/21?

    Hooray we're off again.

    This weekend:-

    L7/8

    Dinnington v Wheatley Hills (Doncaster)

4x 20 mins under the amended laws. First game since 19th December 2020.
  5. Re: Whistle recommendation for new coach

Use the shiny whistles for looking at.

Use the Acme Thunderer 558 (polycarbonate) for making a noise.

Never had a shiny one since I bought the PC one.

They are a bit difficult to engrave...

Re: Covid Law Variations for England

I did one before Christmas on a muddy pitch.

We played 3x 25 mins to allow for coaches to swap and change and fat lads to rest.

    I had one accidental maul.

I would concur with Flish's points...

    Re: wheeling scrums

As well as the assessor I had in Staffs who suggested if the scrum was unsteady on "set" I should penalise the none putting in team. It must be something in the water - obviously not round Burton on...
  8. [Tackle] Re: Head clash, with force, "accidental" = no card? women's 6N

It sounds like it's time for your medicine and your afternoon nap. Matron will put the Perry Como tape on for you.

  10. Re: Premiership relegation set to be suspended

Lets face it - the RFU/Premiership Rugby or some other quasi governing body have wanted to pull up the drawbridge for years. It was always the likes of Rotherham/Leeds getting promoted or Northampton...

    Re: PK moves

It's demise coincided with professional Rugby and the advent of improved fitness/(RL) defensive coaches and systems. Maybe explains it?

I recall in a Yorkshire Cup Match in the 80s early 90s my...

    Re: PK moves

I'd imagine 110kg at 20mph straight in your kidneys/lumbar vertebrae might have something to do with it going out of fashion.

Re: Genge vs Sexton round 1

I appreciate the smiley but all I meant was that if PT did enter MR's head it didn't stay there very long.

Perhaps the fact Jamie George had the ball was a consideration

Especially satisfying after watching Francois Pienaar et al having a cataclysmic meltdown (during the HT interval) at the initial decision!

Re: Genge vs Sexton round 1

Which he got a YC for.

England wouldn't have needed a PT if Ben Youngs could fall over the line without dropping it.

Stander may have got in to dislodge it (couldn't really see) but still a...
