    This ^^.

Noone can be surprised when they stick their shoulder/noggin so close to the runner's head as a general rule, that on occassion either they or the officials will not quite get it right.

well... he did. Aus played with only 14 men as a result. That sounds like a red card.

Of course he hasnt any further ramifications from that issued red card.

but it was still a red card in...

having had a think about it - and given the obvious thing as a defender is to make it dead over a DBL or TIG to gain a 22 d/o - maybe the thinking is to "reward" the attackers for creating pressure...

    Re: Protocol awarding PT

It was more a counter to the "why would teams kick at the ref and risk a wierd bounce off him" question above.

beacsue if it did do that they wouldn't really lose out. That's all.

    Re: Protocol awarding PT

but that in itself COULD be a tactic. As it presumably ends up with the kicking team getting the put-in and a general expectation of having possession as a result.

  12. [Tackle] Re: Head contact, with force, with mitigation - not even a PK?

    I agree PK only.

As for no big screen - firstly why not? Thats not covid lockdown dependant surely?

And whilst maybe ref was unsighted, what about nearest AR and the TMO foul play checking?

    [Tackle] Re: Lifting Tackle

I guess if its becoming a trend in a game, you can start blowing immediately you see a lifted tackle "begin" and PK it as dangerous play.

I appreciate that in reality even that is possibly too...
