    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

I just discovered my problem, I don't speak English like you. Our use of standard if different.

Those "signals" you mention, I would call prompts. And they are not "standardised", they are...

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

referee signals do not influence play and none should be created that do. there are plenty of cues for players.

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

Actually, that is all signals are to be used. And with the exception of advantage, signals occur after a whistle to explain a decision.

Any other clues, or physical hints have influence on play. ...

    no shit,

I can't make you drink, I can't even lead you to water.

Consider this, perhaps the ref should put the ball in the scrum also. You know to make sure it is straight.

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

I'm wrong there are five signals

    ENDING A LINEOUT

    The lineout ends when:
The ball or a player in possession of the ball:

    leaves the lineout; or

enters the area between the touchline and...

    Re: Bath Vs Wasps 8.1.21

    Well,

There are signals. 3 of them. all in the lawbook.

    1. Ball is out of l/o

    2. Maul is driven past LOT

    3. Ball is thrown past 15 m

    Re: likes and dislikes

I'd like to think so, but just likes. The dislikes hurt my feelings. My dislikes received to likes received ratio was really hurtful. I didn't feel so good. It wasn't nice.

I'm ready to restart Phil E.'s Dear America thread, but I'm waiting for likes and dislikes to come back. Phil E. will need likes and dislikes to know when to close the thread.

  16. Re: Thank God! At last Nigel Owens enforces (Caterpillar) Law - Use it

Or, I suppose kicking the ball would also be played away from ruck. Knocking would also.
  17. Re: Thank God! At last Nigel Owens enforces (Caterpillar) Law - Use it

Decorily The correct, well played punchline is "Don't be ridiculous, God is not a referee"
  18. Re: Thank God! At last Nigel Owens enforces (Caterpillar) Law - Use it

The I think the definition of "play the ball" is in Reg 17 along with "use it", and "chargedown".
  19. [Law] Re: Why isn't this pre binding penalised ?

"Flying" would be airborne, so in that regard it would be hard to get three bound players airborne w/o an airfoil of somekind.
  20. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

I understand the custom, which may be incorrect, but that custom does not protect the receiving/catching player from a previously offside player smashing them to dust. If fact, the custom further...
  21. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

If it doesn't go forward it is not a charge down, it is played and does not negate 10m law.
A "proper" charge down does negate the 10m because there is not 10m of existance.
  22. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

Eventually that charge down describe in red, will come down and also forward.
  23. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

But I have some evidence, when looking for evidence it is not always good evidence.

For instance, circumstantial evidence is not great in court of law, but it is a "kind of evidence"
  24. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

It is a reference. What is your reference? , "Everybody knows"

It called a charge"down", hence what happens to the ball as down.

No good, but what r u hanging ur hat upon?
  25. [Law] Re: Why isn't this offisde under 10m law ?

Unfortunately a charge down is ( ) parathesized and described in law 11
