    Are you talking about yellow 15 ,, close to 22 .

    It was a tackle for me....having watched it a couple of times.
    In the heat of battle I would probably have allowed play continue!

    So he should have let go of the ball, he did not.
    Do you think he should have been penalized for it?

    A tackle for me. Frames 4.11 and 4.12. If we expect a tackler to release immediately then we must reward them for doing so after they have made a good tackle. Otherwise they end up hanging on for a bit longer. And also get penalised?

    The material effect of releasing the ball and having to get up and then play the ball again. The tackler is there and other player ON THEIR FEET are close enough to beat him to the ball.

    Clearly and obviously material.
