    So basically that's the nub of the criticism, right ?
    Line of questions was reasonable, but once straight batted then she should have moved on more quickly.

    It was awkward TV, and a waste of air time for me. Sure, two parties involved in each interview, but the players responses are predictable and can be managed. There’s an argument from some circles that she would be in trouble and not doing her job if she didn’t ask those questions, a point which I get - but there’s ways of asking, and as an experienced interviewer she (and the broadcast team in her ear) should be able to read the room and choose whether to keep fishing or move on.
