"The rule modification has seen teams recycle the ball more often when camped deep inside the opposition 22 rather than repeatedly turn to pick-and-drives to score."

    ?????

Isnt PnD due to recycling the ball?

I think what it means is that teams have eschewed trying to barge over the line for fear of being held up so have chucked it wider.

Also, the officials have found it difficult to adjudicate on the 50-22 as every kick in general play now needs to be noted where it is taken

Good luck, in my games I have enough trouble judging where it landed let alone where it started!

Do we need or should we have flags on the 22M touchline, similar to corner?

Would be nice, same with the 10m, or even flags in the TJ's hands! Trouble is I get so used to not having a combination of some of the above I get into a habit of not looking for them

I assume that Balones meant on the TL rather than 2m back.

I will probably assume that most players are as far away from where the ball crossed the TL (not where it landed) as I am and were therefore as unsighted, whatever they may say.
Be reasonable - do it my way.

Yes that’s what I meant. I just get the feeling that it will result in more players attempting the tactic and as a result the normal 50/50 call which a ref could get away with is going to become more prevalent and not so easy to get away with because the call is now significantly more important.

There should be flags on the dead ball line, the goal line, the 22 and halfway.
    I won't start a game without them.

I think the suggestion is that all flags should be on the juncture of the lines to make it easier to determine where the ball crosses the line. I'm not a fan. ARing has enough challenges without having to dodge around a flag.
