Thanks

Drink plenty of Guinness and Jameson Irish Whiskey and charm the lasses with your Wisconsin accent. They will be impressed that you talk like Sarah Palin.

LMGTFY:cry:

Liffy, big friggin river running through the centre of Dublin. Go to, walk down side of it.

Post office is good, uni area is nice. Temple bar to see how the other half live!

Visit Eric Miller at the IRB headquarters:D

bwahahahah!!!

Either that, or they'll mistake you for Michael Palin!!!

Seriously, there is this great museum that deals with Ireland's Viking ancestry, and I found it fascinating. I can't remember what its called but I do remember that it is somewhere near the Holy Trinity Church because they are connected by an old footbridge.

We don't seem to have mentioned anything about London!

It's a shit hole!

Not all of it I hasten to add - I think number 23 Mimosa Street, Fulham SW6 is ok.

Too much to see, too expensive, too big, too Southern - but worth a visit nontheless (he says grudgingly  )

If anything it's worth going just to really appreciate the rest of the UK.

The university I'm attending is in London.

London is a very big place and it's got lots of Universities !
Which one are you going to ?

London itself is bigger in GDP and population that most of the countries in the EU - but LLP is wrong about it being too "southern". It is the most cosmopolitan city I have ever been in, with virtually every nationality present, some in large numbers (except the English ), food and culture from around the world and "social buzz" I have only ever experienced in New York, Berlin, Prague and Hong Kong.
