Friendly/trial match

Red have the feed at an uncontested scrum, Blue neither strike for possession nor push ( complying with the definition of ' uncontesting' ) however Red Hooker gets his timing badly wrong and accidentally boots the ball into Blues 2nd row

It then takes what seems like an age to extract the ball, and then reset the scrum whilst im listening to all the wit and banter exchanged between both packs.

my immediate thought was ...why bother? - should play-on be a permitted law exception for a kick through?

The putting in side have to win a UC scrum so you have to reset. I can see why you may not want to bother though.
