I've got a fixture this Saturday

Oundle 1st -v- Lutterworth 1st.

Our Society conference isn't until the first Sunday in September - by which time I'd have had 3 matches I guess.

Have been invited up to my local L6 club to referee a team run-out and talk about the new Laws. Should be interesting bearing in mind - like most here about - I've only read the blurb pushed out by the WR and the RFU

What could possibly go wrong

Couldn't face the 180 mile round trip for our first society meeting hopefully get to the next one if work permits.
First friendly this Saturday in my home town Furness v Kirby LonsdaleXV then Windermere v Hawcoat Park (my old club) the week After. Up on the bus for a few beers. I then miss the first 2 weeks of the season , stag do and wedding.
ps if anyone is visiting Cumbria during the season and fancies a run out I'm sure you could be accommodated. We were short last year and at least 3 not Reffing this year. How are other societies faring?

Ahoy hoy.

1st pre-season game and first run out since Olney 7s.

I have....

Hemsworth (L9) v Rotherham Phoenix (L10)

Looking forward to administering the recent Law amendments however I'm not sure this level of game will throw up any novel approaches to dealing with the changes.

I'm guessing they will all look baffled as I bullshit my way through it - no change there then.

Only this game before my season starts on the 2nd Sept so I'd better make the most of it.

Pre-season Luctonians v Dorking with a new, and very good, Panel Ref plus a good mate on the opposite line. There were two red cards against Lucts in their first pre-season game....

Club 7's tournament at Old Tiffinians, done it for the last 2 years great fun and good rugby. Biggest difference for me this season has nothing to do with law trials. Now three and a half stone lighter, I think it might be noticeable

Well done.

That's Southern beer for yer!

Have a look and see where you've moved to and from on the "fat atlas".

My first fixture has been cancelled  Was expecting a decent game, and with the Society Chairman in attendance for an assessment I had prepared for a decent trip to Harrogate, however it will be a day watching the Internationals.

As for Reffing in 7 degrees Dickie E, man up, it won't be much above that all season over here
